I dance with possibility
The unknown luring me into
Parts of myself
My deepest self
The me that finds tranquility in uncertainty
It calls me
Begging me to make itself my home
But instead, I creep on the stars when night leaves them alone
For tomorrow they could be gone again

I want to be here
Under the night sky as day blesses us with a sigh
And lilacs, teals and pinks escape for the transition to night
It's here I find my why
My purpose
That lives deep beneath the surface
My purpose
The only thing to leave me exposed to feeling worthless
When I visit those places there's no way to curb it
It has parked position permanently
Etched

Etched
So instead
I dance with possibility
Because with them there is no certainty
I have no reason to fear unfulfillment

They provide me with bursts of life
Enough to make me forget my why
My purpose
The unknown
My deepest self

But the high doesn't last too long
The sobering smooth like the ending of a song
But the wait is painful enough
To make me think of all of my wrongs

Permanently etched
You are my divine
My timed demise
Perfectly captured and presented as a prize
I fear those lies

Your uncertainty
My escape
With you, I can make no mistakes
You are my fate
I call upon you because you're every part of possibility
Stir crazy with uncertainty
My car crash waiting to happen

I dance with possibility
I find home in uncertainty
I beg for you and them to never leave
Without you both
I have no way to hide
From the certainty that is me
